I have such fond memories of Uncle Charlie when the Doss family came to Texas to visit. I remember he always had a book to read; he loved to sneak away to get in a round of golf and he always was quick to share a smile and a laugh.
My thoughts and prayers are with Jeanette and Sam.

Charlie and Jeanette. Tonight I was thinking of you both and so I did an internet search. So sad to learn of Charlie’s passing. I fondly and forever remember the many get togethers in the Indianapolis neighborhood…Steinmier. Wish we could turn back the clock!! See you “Upstairs.” Hope that happens and believe it will. Loved your sense of humor Charlie and your always lady-like, positive disposition Jeanette. Scott Johnson.

Charlie and Jeanette were such good friends and neighbors to me and my dad and mom, Mark and Dorothy Johnson. We had such fine families livng nearby in a nice Steinmeyer cluster of homes: Seagrens, Dosses, McCormicks, McGraths, Callahans. So many great memories during frequent patio happy hours and parties. Charlie had such a great sense of humor! Jeanette was a perfect lady and always enjoyed talking to her and Charlie. I remember the day Charlie announced he was “going for it” with his food brokerage business. Sam will carry on.
